FAQ
GENERAL DETAILS
Generally speaking, to create any artwork on tile, Jaime firstly draws on tracing paper and after that, he transfers the drawing to the tiles by hand.
He paints using high temperature inks, directly on a non-fired, blank and glazed tile. Afterwards, Jaime fires each tile separately at 1010°C (1850° F), changing consequentially the tones of each tile. After firing, each hand painted tile remains with a textured surface, waterproof, and protected against wear. Jaime Fortuna designs and produces his work using traditional methods, ensuring its durability and conservation.
